Garlic Butter Shrimp
Garlic butter shrimp may not be the most original style of shrimp popularly made. However, to me a few ingredients are needed to make this one of the best you will ever taste and this is my guarantee.
So butter and garlic happen to be 2 of my favorite ingredients as I am sure the same goes for many. So paired with a couple other ingredients with shrimp, you can imagine the heavenly taste.

Ingredients for Garlic Butter Shrimp
- Shrimp – I usually use medium, large, or jumbo peeled & deveined shrimp.
- Butter – I use unsalted real butter, not margarine as it makes a big difference.
- Garlic – I use a few cloves minced to create an intense flavor.
- Onions – Diced, for added flavor.
- Green Pepper – For added flavor.
- Tomatoes – For added color and flavor.
- Seasoned Salt – For added color & flavor.
- Garlic Salt – Added flavor.
- Black Pepper – Flavor enhancer.
- Thyme & or Fresh chopped parsley – Adds great flavor and appearance.
- Lemon Juice – Balanced flavor.
Simple Steps To Making Garlic Butter Shrimp

1. Season shrimp with all ingredients except butter, lemon juice and parsley in a seasoning bowl. Marinade for at least 1 hour.
2. Place butter in a non-stick skillet on medium-high heat to melt. Once melted, Increase heat to high heat and add shrimp and all seasonings to the pan. Continue stirring for a few minutes until no longer pink.
3. Add lemon juice & chopped parsley.
Garlic Butter Shrimp
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 lbs. Shrimp
- 1-1/2 tsp. Seasoned Salt
- 1-1/2 tsp. Garlic Salt
- 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
- 1 tsp. Fresh Thyme
- 1/2 cup Onions chunks
- 1/4 cup Green Pepper chunks
- 1/2 cup Tomatoes plummy (bright red)
- 6 cloves Garlic minced
- 6 Tbsp. Butter (unsalted) cut in pieces
- 2 tsp. Lemon Juice
- 2 Tbsp. Parsley chopped
Instructions

Make sure shrimp is peeled and de-veined.
Wash in diluted water and vinegar.
Rinse off with water and drain well.

Season shrimp with all above except butter, lemon juice and parsley.
Marinade at least 1 hour.

When ready to cook, place skillet on medium heat, add butter to melt.
Increase heat to high, add all shrimp and seasonings.
Continuously stir until no longer pink (5 minutes)

Add lemon juice, and garnish with chopped parsley.
Recipe Notes
Serves well with white rice, pasta, or vegetables of choice.
