
Take tofu out of package and discard the excess water. Place tofu on a plate for 15-20 minutes for excess water to drain off.
Slice tofu into bite size squares and dust all sides with cornstarch.
Heat a large non-stick skillet on medium-high heat, add oil and wait a few minutes until hot. Place pieces of tofu in the pan at least 1" apart and fry around 2-3 minutes on each side or golden brown. When cooked, place on a paper towel lined plate until all are cooked.
Dilute cornstarch and water and set aside.
Place rest of teriyaki ingredients in a small pot on medium-high heat. When starts to boil, add diluted cornstarch and stir for about 1 minute until slightly thickens.
To toast sesame seeds, place in a small skillet on medium heat and keep stirring until starts to get brown & toasty.
When ready to serve, re-heat tofu in oven or air fryer for a few minutes. Heat teriyaki sauce and stir tofu into teriyaki sauce. Garnish with sesame seeds.
